****Tullamore Town FC Awarded FAI Club Mark****
Tullamore Town FC are proud to become just the third club in Offaly to receive the prestigious Club Mark Award from the FAI last week.
The FAI Club Mark is an award based on best practice in their governance, management and administration of a football club and will further support them in improving standards on and off the field.
It represents a series of accreditation awards from the FAI, whose aim is to establish operating standards and which provides a road map to achieve those standards, introduce an FAI recognised coaching structure and player development plan as well as increasing the club’s capacity to operate effectively and grow soccer in the community.
The award certifies that Tullamore Town FC have every coach in the club Garda Vetted, educated under the Sports Ireland Child Welfare course, as well as all team coaches having completed an FAI Coaching Course relevant to their team and age group.
Receiving the award from Gary Seery (FAI Regional Development Officer for Offaly), Tullamore Town FC Chairman Alan Kelly wished to thank Gary Seery for his help and guidance as well as the Tullamore Town FC Club committee for all of their hard work in helping achieve this award, especially during the numerous lockdowns during the Covid pandemic and stated that this is the first in a number of projects that the club have been working on during the lockdown period.
Alan Kelly said that this award is a wonderful recognition of the commitment and hard work of all those involved with the club and ensures that Tullamore Town will retain its position as one of the most progressive and well run football clubs in the midlands.
On a further positive note, Tullamore Town FC have recently been notified that the club can reopen from Monday the 26th of April, in line with current HSE and FAI Covid guidelines.
